In 1855 an ancestor of the owner today created
the property of 5 ha near the Pope's castle. The successors of the family bought
more vineyards so that today the domain covers 15 ha with vines of which one ha is with white
It was not until 1960 the
first wine was bottled at the domain. Frederic Charvin has run the domain since
1989. The vines has an average age of 60 years.
More than 50% of the production is sold in tank.
Chateauneuf du Pape
64% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, 6% Cinsault, 2% Counoise, 2% Muscardin. 1% Vaccarese
and 1% Terret Noir.
Grenache is aged in foudres and the rest in 1-4-years-old barriques.
Chateauneuf du Pape Coralie
2013: Equal shares of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. 60-100-years-old
Syrah and Mourvedre aged in new barriques for 18 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
2014: 40% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 20% Roussanne, 10%
Bourboulenc, 5% Picpoul and 5% Picardan. 20% is aged in new barriques.
Cotes du Rhone
2012: 100% Grenache. 50-years-old vines norths of A7.
40% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Cinsault.
