The owner Dirk Vermeersch has quite an unusual backgrund to become a wine grower.
He was born in Belgium in 1952 and has a past as a business man and rally driver (1973-86). At his web site he tells about the car racing which ended with a serious accident. After some years in the automobil business he decided to change his style of life and become a vigneron.

In 2000 he purchaced a 200 years old big mansion near Tulette with some vineyards. The first vintage of his own was then 2001. His daughter Ann and her friend Sébastien Barbara have since 2005 been responsible for the wine making.
The couple were both attending the wine school in Orange.
In 2010 a new and modern cellar was built by their own vineyards in Suze-la-Rousse

Today the domain covers 25 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village or IGP area. In 2006
a parcel of 0,16 ha. in Chateauneuf du Pape was bought and from here about 600 bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape are made.

The work in the vineyards is done by organic principles. Some of the vineyards are certified agriculture biologique and the rest will follow in the near future.
The yield is kept low - about 25 hl./ha.

Nearly all wines from own vineyards are made as single varietals.
The letters GT in the names of the cuvées means "Grande Terroir".
The letter at the end of the names relates most often to the grape varieties. These wines are now declassified to VDF in spite of the situation of the vineyards in Cotes du Rhone Village area.
Beside the wines from own vineyards a range og negociant wines are markeded by the domain. These wines have the word "Classic" added to the name. Wines from young vines at the domain's vineyards can be used in these wines.
