Serge Mouriesse worked for 15 years as an oenologist at some well known producers (Jean-Pierre Moueix, Dry Creek vineyard, Cordier, Brotte) before he in 1998 created his own oenological laboratory in Chateauneuf du Pape, Laboratoire d'œnologie Mouriesse.
Three people are working together with Mouriesse, Katrina Muller, a Chilean agronomy ingeneer-enologist
, Emilie Jaume enologist (wife of Sebastien Jaume from Domaine Grand Veneur) and Christian Agut agriculture ingeneer-enologist.

The laboratory has clients in Chateauneuf du Pape and in other appellations in Rhone and are organized in RHÔN.OE.CONSEIL. 
Serge Mouriesse is involved in special project abroad, creation of a vineyard and winery in Vietnam.

At the laboratory in Chateauneuf du Pape you can participate in ecole de degustation Fridays 16.00-18.00 or Saturdays 10.00-12.00.

In 2008 Mouriesse purchased 0,13 ha with 50-years-old Grenache vines at lieu-dit Valori in Courthezon, and from that year he made his first vintage from own vineyard Chateauneuf du Pape called Tour d' Ambre. Later he purchased further 0,14 ha and finally in 2014 0,40 of Chateauneuf du pape and 1,8 ha. in Lirac from where Cotes du Rhone and IGP Gard are made. From 0,67 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape three cuvées are made.

The grapes are not destemmed and the fermentation takes place in cement tank.

Wines

Chateauneuf du Pape Pierre d'Ambre 
2012: 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. 
1/3 matured in steel tank. 2/3 in 1-2-years-old barriques for 15 months.

Chateauneuf du Pape Tour d'Ambre
2012: 100% Grenache. Lieu-dit Valori.
1/3 matured in steel tank. 2/3 in 1-2-years-old barriques for 9 months.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Tour d'Ambre
2014: 30% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, 20% Clairette and 20% Bourboulenc.

Cotes du Rhone Tour d'Ambre
2014: Mainly Grenache with some Syrah, Moruvedre and Cinsault.

Cotes du Rhone Blanc
La Mirœnière
2016: Grenache, Roussane, Viognier, Clairette.

IGP Gard La Mirœnière
2014: 100% Grenache. More than 50-years-old vines.
