In 1859 Ogier et Fils was founded by Christophe Ogier as a negociant firm.
In 1948 Ogier became  negociant-éleveur, as he established his own cellars for blending and ageing of the wines bought from producers. Some years later his firm was fusioned with another negociant firm Caves des Papes. Until 2008 the  firm was named Ogier - Caves des Papes. In 1994 Ogier - Caves des Papes became a part of another firm Vignobles Jeanjean based in Languedoc.

In 1999 a domain in Chateauneuf du Pape became for sale as none of the heirs wanted to run the estate. It was Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes which for many years had been run by the widow after Leonce Amouroux, who beside the wines from his own estate also bought wines from other producers and marketed these wines by the brand Leonce Amouroux.
In 2000 Société Léonce Amouroux with its 20 ha of vineyards was bought by Ogier - Caves des Papes. The wines from Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes have since been made seperately at Ogier with the original labels from 1926, when the first wines were bottled this domain. The brand Leonce Amouroux may still be used for some cuvées.
In 2017
Domaine la Roncière became a part of Ogier with it's 10 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape and 5 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village / Cotes du Rhone.
A company "La Ronciere" has been set up with Francois Miquel as g
érant.

The buildings at Avenue Louis Pasteur in Chateauneuf du Pape are only used for ageing of wines as the vinication takes place in other cellars.
In 2013 and old bastide with old cellars in Courthezon have been pourchased.
At harvest 2015 these totaly renovated cellars were ready for use. Photos from the new cellar. Together with the buildings 9 ha af vineyards situated in Chateauneuf du Pape and Cotes du Rhone were purchased. The vineyards have been cultivated organic and it's planned to cultivate these vineyards by biodynamic methodes
