Jean-François' grand aunt inherited the property a century ago but
as she lost her husband during world War 1 and her only son in World War
II she left the vineyards to her nephew Jean-François' father. At first he
rented the vineyards to another winegrower but from 1971 he took them back
and got the wines made by a neighbour.
In 1986 Jean-François Lambert
got some wine education in Bourgundy and the following year he took over
the property and made his first wine in 1988 when he was 22 years old.
Today the property covers 30 ha of which 6 ha are Gigondas and 6 ha
are Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet. The rest is Cotes du Rhone og IGP.
65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault.
Ageing in cement tank for 6 months and then for 12 months in barriques.
