Maxime Bernard is "le chef" at the domain. His brother Pierre Bernard
is co-owner and some times he works at the domain, but he is
occupied by his own business the restaurant Les
Florets in Gigondas.
Maxime and Pierre are the 5th generation at the
property covering 83 ha., making the domain one of the biggest in
Maxime's daughter Agnes and his son David are both working at the
The 19-years-old son Simon is still attending school.
Maxime Bernard is president for Syndicat
des Vins de Vacqueyras.
The 83 ha. covers these appellations:
Vacqueyras 59,1 ha, Gigondas 3,1 ha, Cotes du Rhone 11,5 ha, Beaumes de
Venise 1,3 ha and IGP 8 ha.
The harvest is done by manully, about 30
pickers are working for a months.
The grapes for reds are not destemmed and vinication and maturing
takes place in cement tanks.
Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Cinsault.
2014: 80% Grenache,
10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault.

2013: 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah.
2014: 80% Grenache (some vines are 80-100-years-old) and 20% Syrah.
