The domain was established in 1838 by a forefather of Franck Alexandre
who came from Savoy to construct the Chateau Raspail.
He bought the property in hands of his grand grand son today
The domain covers 12 ha: 10 ha
Gigondas, 1 ha Cotes du Rhone and 1 ha vin du Pays.
Half of the production is bought by
Perrin et Fils and is used for Gigondas les Gilles as well as for the
mini cuvée of Vieilles Vignes
From 1 ha. with very old vines, 80% Grenache and 12 other varieties..
Aged for 12 months in foudres.
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Aged for 12 months in foudres.
33% Grenache, 44% Cinsault and 23% Mourvedre.
Cotes du Rhone
50% Grenache and 50% Syrah.
Vin du Pays de Vaucluse
Grenache and Syrah.

of the Syndicat of Gigondas.

Maybe the oldest vineyard of Gigondas as the vines are about 120-years-old and
have not been grafted as nearly all European vines after the
phylloxera in the 1860'ties.
The linden at the courtyard is
called The three of liberation as It was planted just after the
French revolution .
A part of the cellars at Tessonnieres is underground. The stones at the grass
are marking the walls. To the right you see the entrance.
