The buildings at the place were constructed to be a silk
factory and functioned as such until 1886 when a fire destroyed part of the
buildings.
In 1906 the estate was bought by Isidore
Chastan the grandfather of the owner today. He reconstructed the central parts
of the buildings and planted oak trees for truffles, fruit trees and vines.
In 1960 the next generation took over and then the the place became mainly a
sheep farm and a producer of wooden fuel. Some vines were replanted and the
grapes were sold to a cooperative.
In 2005 Olivier Gourjon after finishing his wine
education went home to the family domain. New vinification cellars were
constructed and the old cellar from the time of silk production contains barrels
for ageing of the wines.
Olivier's sister Eglantine has got a commercial education and the two
siblings run the domain together.
The domain covers 15 ha of vineyards of which 12 ha
are situated near the domain.
The vineyards have been certified agriculture biologique since 2011.
