The property has been in possession of the family since 1809.
Different kinds of agriculture have been important through the 200 years.
There have been a production of silk/silk worms, at a time it was quite a big sheep farm and for a time production of garange a plant from where red dye is made.

The first vintage bottled at the domain was 1961. Marc Français started to work with his father Gérard Français in 1973.
Gérard Français' pride is his Cotes du Rhone Villages Blanc Cuvée Vionysos made from Viognier, a grape he has introduced at the domain.

Today vines are the most important crop.
The domain covers 250 ha. of which 52 ha is planted with vines.
45 ha. in Uchaux, 5,5 ha. in Sérignan and 2 ha. in Mondragon.
The white wines from the estate are well known and are served at many good restaurants. 11,5 ha. of the vineyards are with white varieties.

Since 2009 the vineyards have been certified agriculture biologique.
