The property has been in possession of the family since 1809. 
The first vintage bottled at the domain was 1961. Marc Français started to work with his father Gérard Français in 1973.
The domain covers 250 ha. of which 52 ha is planted with vines. 45 ha. in Uchaux, 5,5 ha. in Sérignan and 2 ha. in Mondragon.
The white wines from the estate are well known and are served at many good restaurants. 11,5 ha. of the vineyards are with white varieties.
Since 2009 the vineyards have been certified agriculture biologique.
