1937 Sablet was included the
the appellation Cotes du Rhone
1966 Sablet became Cotes du Rhone Village
1974 Right to add the commune name Cotes du Rhone Village
Sablet.
The wines of the appellation has to be made from
vineyards situated in the commune of Sablet.
It includes red, rosé and white wines.
If the winegrowers were interested you could expect it should not be that
difficult to find arguments for them to become a Cru
Sablet commune covers 11.1 km2
The altitude vary from 112 to 419 metres.
In 2015 the commune had 1249 inhabitants.
