Jean-Marc Diffonty is the 4^th generation at the domain and has been responsible, since his father Félician Diffonty retired in 1993. He was the mayor of Chateauneuf du Pape 1965-1995 and it was he who in 1958 named the place Cuvée du Vatican - blessed by the pope!
In 2010 the name of the domain was changed to Chateau Sixtine.
The ageing cellar was renovated in 2003 and the vinification cellar in 2007.
The domain covers 15 ha of  Chateauneuf du Pape.

Chateauneuf du Pape Chateau Sixtine 
2018: 58% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre.
From La Crau, Rayas, Barbe d'Asne and Serres.
Aged for 12 months in tank or in barrels

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Chateau Sixtine
2018: 95% Roussanne, 5% Clairette
Aged for 6 months in barriques.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée du Vatican
2016: 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. (Partly from other growers)

Cotes du Rhone Village Cuvée de Vatican
2017: 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvedre.
