The domain was founded in 1896. The owner today is 4th generation at the place.
Frederic Nicolet toke over from his father Guy Nicolet.
Several years ago a part of another domain was inherited - Domaine Perges - and were added to Chante-Perdrix. In fact one of the best domains (today) in the area emerged from an other part of this "failed" estate.
Chateauneuf du Pape is made from 20 ha mostly in the Condorcet-area, of which one ha is with white varieties. The average age of the vines is about 50 years.

Chateauneuf du Pape
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre,10% Muscardin. Aged in foudres (80%) or barriques (20%) for 9-12 months

100% Mourvedre.

100% Grenache

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc.
10-20% age in new barriques.
