The Arnaud family, also
owners of Chateau
Cabrieres bought the estate 1995.
In 2009 Chateau Maucoil was by a
shift of generation given to Bénédicte and her husband
Charles Bonnet.
Late 2013 the domain merged with the necogiant firm Lavau
in Violès.
Bénédicte Bonnet are now co-owner of Lavau, and she works in this
firm responsible for sales of the wines
The employees at Maucoil still works for the new owners and wines
with the name Maucoil at the labels will still be made at this
estate's cellar.
The property covers 45 ha including 25
ha of Chateauneuf
du Pape, 17 ha of Cotes du Rhone and 3 ha of IGP.
Since 2014 the vineyards are certified agriculture biologique.

tank and parly in barriques for 12 months

50% Grenache, 15% syrah, 12% Mourvedre, 8% Cinsault, 5%
Clairette/Bourboulenc. and appearently 10% other
varieties
Historically it has been a en cuvée baset at "the thirteen
grapes", vieilles vignes and low yield.
Aged in 1-2-years-old pièces
or demi-muids for12 months.
