Paul Durieu was a very engaged political person. He was the mayor
of Camaret-sur-Aigues 1983-2008.
His oldest son Vincent became responsable for the vineyards and
the wine making in 2004 and since 2010 he have had the official
respoans for the domain. His younger brother François
takes care of commercial subjects.
Vincent has improved the quality of the wines considerably during
resent years.
Since 2008 16 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape from a family member (Jean og
Geniève Avril) were officially added to the domain now covering 37 ha of
Chateauneuf du Pape, 35
ha of Plan de Dieu (Cuvée Henri Durieu from 6
ha), 13 ha of Cotes du Rhone, 7 of ha Ventoux (Mormoiron) and 15 ha IGP.
The
caveau is situated at a central place in Chateauneuf du Pape. Here
is an old cellar from 1615 but it's not
suitable for vinification or ageing
The wines are made in different cellars.

80% Grenache (60-70-years-old), 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, Cinsault,
Counoise. 60% destemmed. Maceration 28 days. Aged in concrete for 18 month.
Chateauneuf du Pape Réserve Lucile
Avril
85% Grenache (90-years-old), 10% Mourvedre (60-years-old), 5% Syrah.
Grenache matures in concrete for 18 months; Syrah in new barriques for 12
months. Made from 6 ha at lieu-dit Fargueyrol. named af Paul Durieu's
mother
Chateauneuf du Pape l`Éperdu
100% Grenache from a parcel of 0,1 ha from the Avril family Aged in 400 l
barrels for 12 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Classique
80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc, 5% Clairette.
Cotes du Rhone Village Plan de Dieu
Traditionelle
70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Cinsault og 10% Carignan.
Fermented and matured in concrete.

90% Grenache (60-years-old), 5% Mourvedre, 5% Carignan.
50% aged in barriques. The rest in concrete.
