The name Pegau (old Provencal word for a wine jug found in the excavations from the 14th century Popes Palace in Avignon) was created in 1987, when Laurence Feraud after her wine studies went home to help her father Paul Feraud at the domain. Paul always talks about Laurence  as "le chef", but he is an experienced winemaker himself. The property has belonged to the family for several generations. From 1986 Paul Feraud started bottling of wine and sold it under the mark Domaine Feraud.
Today father and daughter have made Pegau to one of the most well known wines of Chateauneuf du Pape. 
The domain covers 23 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape. The 11 parcels are spread around the appellation and gives different wines, which after the blending result in a very distinct wine, a true old-fashioned Chateauneuf du Pape.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Rservée
80% Grenache, 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvedre and 10% other varieties.
No destemming. Aged for 2 years in old foudres. For sale 30 months after harvest

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Laurence
In principle the same blend as for Cuvée Reservée, but it's aged for a longer time in foudres.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée da Capo
From the oldest vines at La Crau, Escondudes and Montpertuis.
70% Grenache, 7% Syrah, 3% Mourvèdre, 20% Cinsault, Vaccarèse, Terret, Counoise, Picpoul, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussane, Muscardin and Picardan.
Aged in old barrels of different sizes for two years.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Reservée Blanc
2019: 60% Clairette, 20% Grenache Blanc, 10% Roussane, 10% Bourboulenc.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvée A Tempo
2014: Equal shares of Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne. (Debut 2014)
Aged sur lie in 4-years barriques until March after harvest.

Chateau du Pegau

In 2012 a property of 41 ha in Sorgues was purchased. It covers 25 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village, 5 ha of Cotes du Rhone and 11 ha outsite any appellation.
The first vintage of 2012 got the name Chateau Pegau.
