Saskis' parents Els and Ramón bought
Chateau Boucart i1992
The
domain was founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his two
sons Fabrice and Christophe Delorme.
Francis was a passioned hunter.
Mordorée is the local dialect name for the great
woodcock. The name of the premier
wines Reine des Bois (Forrest Queen) - maybe second to
Plume de Pi.
In June 2015 Christophe Delorme suddenly died far too young of age. He was certainly the
createur of the wines from the domain.
Today the domain is run by his wife Madeleine
and his daughter Ambre.
In
1993 Fabrice bought 5 hectares in Chateauneuf
du Pape, consisting of plots located in La Crau, La
Nerthe, Cabrières and Le Bois de la Ville. The wines from here have greatly helped to make the domain known in the professional wine world.
In
Tavel and the surrounding area the domaine covers a total
of 50.5 ha
in
the appellations Lirac (26 ha), Tavel (9 ha) and Cotes du
Rhone (14 ha). Their
best cuvées of Lirac and Tavel are among the best wines
from the two appellations. The
latest acquisition by Fabrice was 0.8 ha of
Condrieu in the northern Rhone.
Since 2013 the vineyards has
been certified agriculture biologique followed by
recogniziton from Demeter as biodynamic.
