The domain was founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his two sons Fabrice and Christophe Delorme. From the start they advised only over 5 ha. The name Mordoree is in the local dialect name for great woodcock - his father was a passionate hunter. The name of the domain is then aptly Mordorée and the name of the premier wines Reine des Bois (Forrest Queen).

In June 2015
Christophe Delorme suddenly died far too young of age.
To day the domaine are run by his wife Madeleine and his daughter Ambre. Francis Delorme is not any longer working at the place.

Over the years since its establishment, the number of hectares has grown considerably. In 1993 they bought 5 hectares. Chateauneuf du Pape, consisting of plots located in La Crau, La Nerthe, Cabrières and Le Bois de 
la Ville.
The wines from here have greatly helped to make the domain known in the wine world, helped by high scores from Robert Parker's high notes.
In Tavel and the surrounding area the domaine covers a total of 50.5 ha in the appellations Lirac (26 ha), Tavel (9 ha) and Cotes du Rhone (14 ha). Their best cuvées of Lirac and Tavel are among the best wines from the two appellations. The latest acquisition is 0.8 ha of ​​Condrieu in the northern Rhone.
Since 2013 the vineyards has been certified agriculture biologique.

2017: 90% Grenache, 4% Syrah, 4% Mourvedre, 2% Counoide/Vaccarese. 60-years-old vines.

2017: 80% Grenache 10% Mourvedre,5% Syrah and 5% Vaccarese/Counoise

2017: 100% Viognier. Fermented in barrels

Lirac La Dame Rousse 
2017: 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah.

Lirac La Reine des Bois 
2017: 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 40% Syrah. Avery age of vines
40 years. 30% fermented and aged in barrels.

Lirac Blanc La Reine des Bois 
2018: 35% Grenache, 25% Clairette, 10% Viognier, 15% Roussanne, 10% Marsanne, 5% Picpoul. 10% fermented in barrels.

Lirac Blanc La Plume du Peintre
2017: Equal shares of Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne. Fermented in barrels

Tavel La Dame Rousse 
2018: 60% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 10% Morvedre, 10% Syrah, 5% Bourboulenc and 5% Clairette.

Tavel La Reine des Bois 
2018: 60% Grenache, 15% Clairette, 10% Syrah, 5% Bourboulenc

Cotes du Rhone La Dame Rousse
