Théodoric Barrot born in 1865 left Chateauneuf du Pape as a young man as the future prospects after the phylloxéra were uncertain. He became a baker in Marseilles. His son Lucien Gabriel Barrot returned in the1930ties to Chateauneuf du Pape as he was offered to take over some vineyards owned by family members. Today some of this vineyards still belong to family. Lucien Gabriel Barrot had two sons Robert and Pierre Barrot. Robert Barrot married Catherine Mousset the daughter of Louis Mousset and together they ran Chateau des Finesh Roches until they handed over to the two daughters Amelie and Gäelle.
Pierre Barrot took over the vineyards of the Barrot family today covering 12 ha with 40-80-eyears old vines situated at several different liux-dits of the appellation. One cuvée of red Chateauneuf du Pape is made. In 2015 it was for tasting at the table from Chateau des Finesh Roches by Les Printemps in Chateauneuf du Pape.

2013: 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre, 1% Counoise and 1% Vaccarese. Aged for 18 months in foudres.
