Christophe De Courten's mother Aline Courten drive (as a widow) for a number of years the property Domaine Le Vieux Calcernier (Chateauneuf du Pape was until 1903 named Chateauneuf de Calcernier) She has been helped in reasent by her two sons Comte Christophe and William and decided in 2014 to let the two sons take over the 10 hectares of Chateauneuf du Pape belonging to her domain. 
(The word "Comte" is not a name, but a nickname according to Swiss tradition for the eldest son.)
Christophe's father descended from an Italian family, who in the late Middle Ages was the Pope's envoy in Switzerland.
Christophe, makes his wines in the renovated cellars at 13, Chemin du Bois de la Ville, where his mother's wines were made. First vintage was 2015.

2016: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Speciale
2016: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape La Reserve du Cygne
2016: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
2017: 50% Roussanne, 50% Clairette.
