Christophe De Courten's mother Aline Courten run for a number of years her property Domaine Le Vieux Calcernier. In 2014 she decided to let her two sons Christophe and William  split the 10 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape belonging to her domain. 
(The word "Comte" is not a name, but a nickname according to Swiss tradition for the eldest son.)
Christophe's father descended from an Italian family, who in the late Middle Ages was the Pope's envoy in Switzerland.
Christophe, makes his wines in the renovated cellars at 13, Chemin du Bois de la Ville, where his mother's wines were made. First vintage was 2015.

Chateauneuf du Pape 
2016: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Speciale
2016: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape La Reserve du Cygne
2016: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. Partly aged in barrels.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
2017: 50% Roussanne, 50% Clairette.
