Until 2002 two brothers made their wines at this
property. André Girard
called his wine
Lou Patacaiau and Robert Girard used the name Cuvée du Belvedere. 2002 the son
of Andre, Jacques Girard followed the brothers and he calls his wine Domaine Les Girard du
Boucou.
The property is situated in lieu-dit Le Boucou to the North of Route de Bédarrides.
Only 4,5 hectares belong to the property and the production is
limited,
especially when up to 70% is sold to negociants. The vines are 60-70 years old.
The viticulture is organic, approved from ECOCERT since 2005 and since 2010 also
as agriculture biologique.
Wines:
Chateauneuf du Pape
70% Grenache and 30% other varieties.
Aged in barrels for 12 months and then in tank for 6 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Clos de Fergy
70% Grenache and 30% other varieties. Aged in barriques.
1200-1500 bottles.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
