Jean-Marc Diffonty is the 4th generation at the
domain and has been responsible, since his father Félician Diffonty retired in 1993. He was the mayor of Chateauneuf du Pape 1965-1995 and it was
he
who in 1958 named the place Cuvée du Vatican - blessed by the pope!
In 2010 the name of the domain was changed to Chateau Sixtine.
The ageing cellar was renovated in 2003 and the vinification
cellar in 2007.
The domain covers 15 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape.

Aged for 12 months in tank or in barrels

2018: 95% Roussanne, 5% Clairette
Aged for 6 months in barriques.

2016: 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. (Partly from other
growers)
