In 1886 a forefather of the Chastan
family purchased the property. He left 5 children to share the land and
today 5-6 generations later you find several descendants of Mr. Chastan
running domains in the area.
In 1985 Martine Thoumy
took over the property from her father André Chatan
Since 2012 her daughter Laetitia Thoumy has worked together with her
mother.
The
property covers 11,2 ha of which 3,2 ha are Chateauneuf and the rest
Cotes du Rhone/Cotes du Rhone Village. The average age of the vines are
50 years.
Since 2014 the vineyards have been cetified agriculture biologique.

VDF La Tradition de Palestor
75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. Aged for a year in foudres.
