By the creation of the domain named after his daughter
Laureline (15-years-old in 2009), Gérard Jacumin has started the third chapter of
his life.
Until 1989 he worked outside the wine business.
His father Pierre Jacumin owned a small domain and made his wine Cuvée de Boisdauphin in cellars just to the south of Chapel Saint
Pierre.
In 1989 Pierre Jacumin wanted to retire. He then suggested that his son
Gérard whos wife Paule (born Courtil) owned some vineyards inhereted from her family, and his son-in-law Marc Cellier made a new
company based on the
vineyards of the three families.
This let to the creation of Domaine Saint Benoit.
This family co-operation existed until 2007, when the 3 sons of Marc
Cellier created Domaine le 3 Cellier based on
the vineyards of the Cellier family and Gerard Jacumin founded Domaine
l'Or de Line based on the vineyards of the Jacumin and Courtil families.
L'Or de Line covers 9 ha. by which 1,6 ha is with
white varieties.
The wines are made in the old cellars of Pierre Jacumin which were also
used to make wines from Saint Benoit. Pierre
Jacumin still lives in his house here at Route du Sorgues.
Since 2012 the vineyards are certified agriculture biologique.
