The domain's
name derives from
a Papal deputy Pellegrin de Brunellis from Italy,
who was sent to Rhone in 1420 to strengthen the influence of the papacy in the
area. He got some of the church's land in Sarrians as
a reward.
In 1976 Charles Brunely took over the property from
his father.
His son Edouard works
with him, so the succession
is ensured.
The vineyards counts for around
64 hectares in different appellations:
Chateauneuf du Pape (2.3 ha),
Gigondas (1.3 ha.), Vacqueyras (24 ha) Cotes du Rhone Village Massif d'Uchaux
(8.5 ha.), Cotes du Rhone (19 ha.) and Ventoux (9.7 ha.)
The wines are vinified and matured
in steel or cement tanks.
