Jean Versino's forefathers came from Italy. In
1955 he started wine production in Chateauneuf du Pape. Today his son
Jean-Paul Versino runs the domain.
Wines are made from 16 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape of which 6 ha are leased.
27 separate parcels are
spread around in the appellation.
The cineyards have since 2014 been certified agriculture biologique.
Wines
Chateauneuf du Pape
65% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah and 5% other varieties.
The age of the vines is 40-80 years. Aged foudres or other barrels of
different size
Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée des Félix
2012: 65%
Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and the rest is Syrah and other
varieties. Around 100 years-old vines. Aged in barriques for about
22 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Made from less than 1 ha.
35% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne and 15% Bourboulenc.
