The domain was established by Poul Croset. For years it
was run by Marie-Odile Croset and her husbond Gerard Paillet.
Since 2010 it's run by the brothers of Marie-Odile,
Jean-Charles and Vincent Croset. In connection with this take over the vineyards
of Gigondas were sold to find the money to pay out their sister.
Today the domain covers 17 ha, 14 ha of Beaumes
de Venise and 3 ha of Ventoux.
As the domain is situated at the feet of Dentelles de Montmirail at an
alt. of 280m the domain is often used as a starting point for hiking and
climbing around the Dentelles. A nice road leads from Lafare up to the domain.
To go further you need a robust car
able
climb bumpy gravel roads.
Wines:
Beaumes de Venise Tradition
70% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 2% Mourvedre.
Beaumes de Venise Saint Christophe
58% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 7% Cinsault.
Beaumes de Venise Félibrige
50% Grenache, 50% Syrah. Aged in foudres.
Cotes du Rhone Rosé
50% Cinsault, 30% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
Cotes du Rhone Blanc Saint Christophe
30% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, 30% Clairette and 10% Viognier. 80%
aged in barrels and the rest in tank.
Ventoux Les Esclausels
70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault.
Ventoux Rosé Les Esclausels
70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault.
In the mansion of the domain
are 5 studios neufs
de 2 à 4 personnes for rent by tourists.
