Gabriel Meffre was born in a wine grower family, but no one could foresee that he - when he founded a negociantfirm in 1936 - would become the owner of the biggest amount of hectares of AOC-vines in France - more than 900 ha - before his disease in 1987.
After the disease of Gabriel Meffre his empire was divided between his inheritants.
The heirs wanted to concentrate focus on the properties and the negociant firm was sold.

The negociant firm still uses the name Gabriel Meffre and has it's headquarter and cellars in Gigondas. 
In 1998 the company went public, and everyone could buy shares
In 1999 the compagny bought Domaine de Longue Toque and thus bacame the owner of own vineyards.

Longue Toque covers 27 ha. 18 ha of Gigondas, 7 ha of Vacqueyras and 2 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village Plan de Dieu.
In 2019 was bougt further 7 ha of Cairanne, 1,5 ha of Rasteau and 2,5 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village. These vineyards are during convertion in to agriculture biologique.
Since 2020 the other vineyards have been certified agriculture biologique.

Gigondas Domaine de Longue Toque  
2016: 65% Grenache, 26% Syrah, 9% Mourvedre. 
Partly aged for 19 months in barriques or demi-muids

Gigondas Lieu-dit Les Trois Yeux
2017: 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah. Aged for 16 months in demi-muids

Gigondas Cuvée Hommage à Gabriel Meffre
2016: 98% Grenache, 2% Syah from 60-100-years-old vines
Aged in demi-muids for 19 months

Vacqueyras
2016: 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah.

Cotes du Rhone Village Plan de Dieu
2016: 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah.

Cotes du Rhone Blanc 
2017: 62% Marsanne, 25% Roussanne, 13% Grenache Blanc.
