Jean-Marc Autran’s great grandfather Alphonse Vautour owned a small domain with 6 ha situated at a place called Les Briguères. In 1947 he decided to move his cellar to the village where Piaugier is situated today and called his new cellar Ténébi - the name of the former owner. Two generations of winegrowers followed.
In 1985 Jen-Marc took over from his father. He bought more vineyards, expanded the old cellar and started to bottle the wines. In 1995 he constructed a cellar for ageing the wines in barriques.
The domain covers 30 ha of vineyards. 3,5 ha of Gigondas, 12,5 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet and 14 ha of Cotes du Rhone.

Wines

Gigondas
2013: 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah.
28 days maceration. 30% is aged in barriques (10% new) for 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet
2015: 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah. 28 days of maceration.
Grenache is aged in tank and Syrah in 3-4-years-old barrels. 

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Ténébi
100% Counoise. Aged in four-years-old barriques for about 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Les Briguieres
80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. 
Aged in four-years-old barriques for about 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Alphonse Vautour
80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. 50% is aged in new barrels and the rest in one-year-old barrels for about 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Reserve de Maude
2009: 100% Syrah. Aged in new barrels for about 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Le Rêve de Marine
2013: 100% Syrah. Aged in one-year-old barriques for 18 months.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Rosé
2015: 100% Cinsault. Direct press. Vinified in cement tank.

Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Blanc
2014: Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne and Clairette. 
Fermented and aged in 2-years-old barriques for 8 months.
