Yves Cherons' father, Denis Cheron,
moved from Bourgondy to Vacqueyras in the 1960-ties and here he
purchaced a negociant firm, Cave du Grand Comtadiné. One of his
suppliers was the owner of Domaine du Grand Montmirail, and when he
wanted to retire he sold the domain to Denis Cheron. In the 1980-ties
his son Yves Cheron took over after finishing wine school in Beaune.
The
domains' own vineyards covers 46 ha, 35 ha. Gigondas,
7 ha in Vacqueyras, 2 ha in Beaumes de Venise and 2 ha of Muscat de Beaumes de
Venise. The 35 ha of Gigondas are situated at an altitude of 300-350
metres.

Negociant wines are also made. They
