The
domain was founded in 1874. Yves Gras is the 5th generation at the
property.
He took over from his father in 1985.
Yves
Gras is regarded as one of the leading producers of Gigondas. The domain covers
12,38 ha in Gigondas and about 14 ha in other appellations. In 2009 1,23 ha. of
Chateauneuf du Pape (Lieu-dit Sainte Vierge) was purchased and in 2012 further
2,5 ha (Lieux-dits La Font du Pape and La Crau)
Yves'
son Benjamin Gras has since finishing his oenological education worked together
with his father as oenologist and winemaker at the domain.
Since
2012 the vineyards have certified as culture biologique and is on the
route to be certified biodynamique.
