he grandfather of the
two siblings who currently run the domain
Maurice Archimbaud, was the first
producer of Vacqueyras to bottle wines. He established the domain
in 1960 with inherited vineyards of
Vacqueyras and fields at Montmirail covered by trees or
scrub. During a 20-year period
he extended his vineyards by
clearing slopes towards the Dentelles de
Montmirail and planted vines at an area of 24 ha of Gigondas. He created his
cellar beside the buildings of the former health resort.
His daughter Monique Archimbaud Bouteiller
continued to ru domain until she
in 2013 handed over the management to
two of her children Philippe and Sylvie,
who both had worked on the domain, since
they finished their education.
The domain covers 44 ha. 20 ha
of Vacqueyras and 24 ha of Gigondas.
