Pierre
Amadieu owns 137 ha of which 127 ha is Gigondas. That is around
10% of the whole appellation (2015: 1214 ha in production)
Furthermore the firm owns 13 ha in Cotes du Rhone, Ventoux and IGP.
The history starts in 1929, when Grand father Pierre Amadieu purchased 7 ha and
in this way founded the firm.
Today his descendants run the domain, His son Claude is responsable
for the vineyards and Pierre Amadieu Jr. his grandson - a nephew of Claude - is
responsible for the general management and the
winemaking. Claude's two
sons Damien and Jean-Marie both work at the domain.

2016: 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah in an altitude of 400m.
Aged for 24 months in barrels.

2018: 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah.

months, 15% in new barrels, 45% in older barrels, 40% in forudres.
