Domaine
La Bouscatière has been in the Saurel family's possession for
approx. 100 years inherited from father to son
through four generations.
The bottling of the domain started in 1996, and it was
in this connection that the domain name was created from the
procencal word Bouscatièro, a building used to store fuel,
including dead vines.
Domaine la Bouscatière and Domaine la Pèage have for
one generation been mentioned in context, because heirs of the two
families Christian Saurel and Sabine Chauvet (Saurel) were married
to each other. Both families have a hundred-year
history in the possession of the two families. Saurel-Chauvet
Vignerons were formed, but they continued to make wines under both
domain names. Part of the production was sold in
tank.
Christian and Sabine Saurel had two children, Laurent
and Pauline. In 2016, Saurel-Chauvet became two
separate companies SCEA Saurel Pauline (Domaine la Bouscatière) and
EARL Domaine le Pèage. (Laurent Chauvet-Saurel)
