The name of the property comes from the Bizard family who owned the place in the 16th and 17th century. Before vines were planted at the fields the owners earned their living by producing silk and you can still see very old mulberry trees at the estate.
In 1862 the first vines at the estate were planted by the great great grandfather
of the owner today.

In 1980 when Mark Lepine took over the property the buildings were in some disrepair and only 3 ha of the land were cultivated. Today the vineyards cover 16 ha with a potential of 42 ha. The first bottling at the property since Lépin took over  took place in 2003.
