Back in 1703 a Mrs. Verrière founded the estate and then married a Mr. Teulon.
From that time the name of the domain and the name of the family who since then has owned the estate. 
In 1975 the owner today
Philippe Teulon took over from his father as the 7th generation of the family. Before that he got an oenological education at the University of Montpellier. The first bottles made for sale were made in 1979.
The two sons Pierre and Vincent work at the estate. Vincent has an oenological education and works in the cellar and Pierre has a commercial education and works with sales and promotion.

The domain covers 160 ha. of which 70 are situated in the area near the domain.
Sinca 2012 the vineyards are certified agriculture biologique .
