Domaine la Soumade
was established by André Roméro in 1979. Since 1990 the whole
production has been bottled at the domain. In 1996 when his son Frédéric Roméro
had earned his BEPA Diploma in viticulture and oenology
he returned to the domain to join his father.
In 2002 a new cellar was built by Route d'Orange
a few hundred metres from the old cellar which today is used by
another wine grower Georges Perrot.
The domain covers 27 of which one ha is Gigondas and the rest is
situated in Rasteau.

70% Grenache, 30% Syrah. Aged for 18 months in demi-muids.

2018: 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre.
Rasteau Prestige
2017: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. 30-50-years-old vines. 50% aged in foudres and the rest in cement tank for 18
months.
Rasteau Cuvée Confiance
2018: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre.
Fermented in wooden tank and aged in foudres for 18 months.
