In 2010 some vineyards in
Rasteau were bought by a group of friends passionate
about wine, led by the
winemaker Claude Hilt.
In 2011 the firste vintage was made from these vines.
Some of the Villa Safranier vineyards are
located on a hill where saffron was cultivated in former times.
Since 2015 the domain has also made a red and a white
Chateauneuf du Pape.
Beside the work in own vineyards and cellar Claude Hilt runs Viti
Vino Service
Service company specializing in the wine sector:
- administrative and technical management of wine estates
- wine advice and expertise
- manual and mechanized services in the vineyard
- cellar services: vinification, breeding, packaging, ...
