In 1973 the domain was established from scratch
by Maryse and Jean Pierre Verdeau. In
1981 he left the cooperative and the first wine was bottled and marketed at the beginning of the expansion
of the Domaine de l’Amandine.
Today the domain covers 45 ha; 27 ha
of Cotes du Rhone Village
Seguret, and the rest Cotes du Rhone or IGP
In 2013 Jean Pierre found that running this
relatively big domain had become a too big task for a man of his
age. None of his two sons wanted to take over and a sale of the
domain came in question. Jean Pierre’s
daughter Sabine and son-in-law Alex Suter had
both made their own carriers. Alex as a landscape architect.
In respect of Jean Pierre's great
lifework litterally creating the domain with his own hands - from
zero - they decided to continue at the family estate.
