The original buildings at the place
from 16th century belonged to the popes. It was bought from them
in 1735 by a Mr. Quinqui
and belonged to descendants of him until 1989 when the place was purchased by
Marie-Hélène and Philippe Avon, relatives of the former owner.
Philippe Avon died by a tragic trafic accident in 2007.
In 2009 the property was purchased by Eric Petit-Jean,
the owner of the Champagne
Cochet. His oenologist from Pol
Cochet Jean Pierre
Valade got new challenges as a
creator of Rhone wines and his wife is responsible for the
oenoturístc affairs at La Croix des Pins.
The compagny created by the purchase Latitude Wine has also bought 7,5 ha in Gigondas (from Domaine de Cassan in Lafare)
and 4 ha
in Beaumes de Venise. Latitude wines has also interests vin an estate in Tunesia Kurubis.
The 22 ha of vineyards of Croix des
Pins have been certified agriculture biologique since 1990, and the
vineyards in Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise are certified since 2012.
Very exclusive appartments are for rent at the first flor
of the main building and here is also a restaurant,
Restaurant A Ventoux.

barriques for a few months

2018: 40% Grenache/Cinsault, 40% Syrah/Vermentino and 20%
