The cooperative was founded in 1929. Today (2015) 53 members deliver grapes. In recent years the cooperative have been trough serious financial troubles. In February 2014 the cooperative had to go into receivership and was placed under administration of the authorities. A reorganization was approved by the court in Carpentras in December 2015 after it has signed a partnership with the small negociant firm Les Grandes Serres in Chateauneuf du Pape owned by the bigger negociant company Gabriel Picard (Prima Vinae) in Chassagne-Montrachet. The suspension of payments led to reduction of number of employees which decreased from 42 to 14. Turnover in 2015 was 5 million. .
In 1998 a new ageing cellar was constructed and in 2008 a total renovation of the reception and the establishment of sencing rooms where you can test your senses including ear, eye, hand nose and mouth. The pleasure of the 5 senses mingles meeting with a village, its history and winemakers, the knowledge of a trade, the vision of artists on the art of living.

In 2006 the name Camille Cayron was chosen to market a line of higher quality wines. The balloon connected to logo is a symbol relating to the Montgolfier brothers who were the first to fly a warm air balloon, which happened in 1782 - in the Rhone valley - in Annonay 15 km from the river Rhone in northern Ardèche.
It was chosen to illustrate "the pioner spirit shared by the wine growers of Cairanne" and "to illustrate the qualitative jump which was achieved recently".
