Domaine les Hautes Cances
Anne-Marie and Jean-Marie Astart (Sold
to Pierre Amadieu Gigondas July 2019)
The domain was founded in 1890 by Anne Marie's grandparents (she was born
Achiary). In 1992 Anne-Marie
and Jean-Marie Astart decided to carry on the work and took over the domain from where
the whole production was sold to the co-operative. In 1995 they started to
bottle the wines with the name Domaine des Hautes Cances. Until 2000 Jean-Marie Astart
continued working as a psychiatrist. From then he became a full time wine grower
and in 2003-2004 new cellars were built.
Today the domain covers 17 ha. The vineyards are
certified agriculture biologique.
