Domænet
blev oprettet i 1999 af Jean-Louis Giornal. På det tidspunkt var
han revisor for vinproducenter og havde i nogle år ønsket selv
at have vinmarker.
"My
husband and I are both studied chemistry, and used to work in research for a
Pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. We are also passionate about wine, and
decided 5 years ago to give up with chemistry, and go on with wine-growing and
-making. We arrived in September 2019 for our first winemaking, and our first
own harvest. This has been thrilling, we learned a lot and we are so happy with
this life change.
Our aim for the future is to learn with the Perrin family, and to be able to
craft our own wines in the future. We want to develop the bottle market, as we
mainly sell bulk wines at the moment. This would allow us to build our own
cellar, and be totally independent.
From a philosophic point of view, we are not yet producing Organic wines (not
labelled), but we are planning that. We are already almost organic (working on
soils, very little use of synthetic crop protection products, trying to develop
biodiversity, etc). We are very concerned with climate change, and try to reduce
our waste (in everyday life and business life) as far as possible, and are
working on the reduction of the Estate Carbon footprint."
