Grignan-les-Adhémar is the name of an appellation
in Drôme. It's the most northern part of what you can call the Southern
Rhone Valley.
The appellation was established in 1973 by the name Coteaux du Tricastin.
In 2010 the name was changed to Grignan-les-Adhémar.
The reason for the wish to change the name was that the winegrowers found that
it was not so good to be associated with the nuclear power plant Tricastin
NPC.
34 private winegrowers and 12 cooperatives make Grignan-les-Adhemar.
At chateauneuf.dk are 14 private
winegrowers presented.
Below some photos to give an impression of wines and prices, as seen at
the wineshop on 7 July 2015. (Random listed)
