This event takes place every
year on 14th August. It's officially opened at 17.00 and close down the
music and dancing on the big square by midnight.
We participayed only for the first two hours and I can't tell what
happened the rest of the evening.
11 producers of Rasteau served their wines
from locations spred around in the narrow step streets of the
village.
A band walked around the same streets playing drums, saxophones
and trompets and other instruments. |

They made a stop by
every wine- grower and this way you could taste the wines listening to the
music. Smaller bands played different types of music at three places in
the upper village,
Downtown around the big square was a traditional market.
A big band was preparing to play their music later in the evenig to a
great ball at the square.
When we left the place around 19,00 a lot of people was entering. A
big part of them were young people. We could imagine that a big festivity
was going to take place.

Shortly after the entrance I met
Marlene Fande selling shirts for the Grenache association. I have
bought my shirt at the tourist office in Chateauneuf du Pape.
